***Hotel will be closed for main refurbishment works between November 14th 2007 and March 20th 2008***This renowned luxury five star hotel is situated on the Giudecca Island just a short boat ride from St. Cipriani (superior Suite) in Venice. Mark's Square. Deluxe accommodation with attentive service, the finest dining and excellent leisure amenities in a tranquil location set amidst beautiful gardens.***LOCATION*** The hotel is located in the Giudecca Island in the south of Venice. There are excellent transport links in the island and the hotel offer a free boat service (24hours) to and from St. Mark Square (10 min). The nearest train station Venice Santa Lucia is 15min away and the Venice Marco Polo airport 30min away by water taxi. Private transfers can be arranged by the hotel. There is a harbour just in front of the Ciapriani hotel with docking facilities for yachts and boats of up to 70 feet. ***EXTERIOR*** The hotel grounds consist of a modern main building with terraces overlooking the island of San Giorgio and two historical Palazzos surrounded by gardens. ***LEISURE FACILITIES*** The Olympic size pool is the only one in central Venice, and has filtered salt water. In spring and autumn it is kept heated. There is a private tennis and golf course situated in a wonderful Venetian garden. There is a spa centre, hair salon and wellness centre that offer fabulous treatments. ***ROOMS*** Superior Suites are spacious (60 sqm). They are elegantly decorated in a classical style with luxurious fabrics and furnishings. They overlook the gardens, pool area or lagoon. Some have private balcony and Jacuzzi. Marble bathrooms. ***RESTAURANTS & BARS*** There are four restaurants in the Ciapriani hotel (Fortuny restaurant, Fortuny terrace, Cip's Club and Gabbiano poolside restaurant). They serve modern and typical Venetian cuisine. Please note that jacket and tie is required for dining in the Fortuny restaurant. Informal dining available in Cip's Club restaurant. Also, there are four bars in the hotel. Continental and full American breakfast is included and served in the main restaurant from 8.00 to 10.30am.
