Old Street tube station is a 10-min walk and there are several buses just outside the hotel door connecting with the nearby Liverpool Street tube/train station, from where the famous Oxford Street is only 5 stops away. Some buses go directly in 10 mins to many landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London or Tower Bridge. There are also direct train links to Stansted airport from Liverpool Street station. The hotel area is very trendy; a mixture of post-industrial architecture, modern office buildings and art galleries. The Hoxton Square with fashionable bars and restaurants and modern art gallery White Cube is 5-min walk from the hotel. ***EXTERIOR*** The property is a 7-storey new (2004) modern, purpose-built building. ***ROOMS*** Rooms are reported to be fairly large in size and luxuriously furnished in rich colours with polished dark wood furniture. Rooms come with large work stations with lighting, leather armchairs and sofa seating. Bathrooms are reported to be medium-sized with powerful showers and all the up-to-date amenities one would expect of a hotel of this class. ***RESTAURANTS & BARS*** The Globe Restaurant boasts panoramic views of the city. The menu specialises in contemporary cuisine. Saint Gregory's lobby bar has a very contemporary decor featuring double high ceilings and offering a wide range of cocktails. A buffet style continental and full English breakfast is included and served Monday to Friday from 7.00 till 10.30 am and 8.00 till 11.00 on weekends.
