Great Eastern in LONDON. While reviving the splendour of the original Victorian hotel, the new design injects the building with a strong spirit of the modern. Each of the rooms and suites is unique, but all of them are light and spacious, and easy on the eye. All rooms have a high standard of luxury and comfort, but there is nothing standard about the attention to detail in any of them; Frette linen sheets; pure wool carpets; giant antimacassars; Jacobson work lamp and Eames desk chair; two-line telephone, conference calling, fax, modem and ISDN lines; specially commissioned photography of the City; CD- and DVD-players are both standard, with libraries of discs available from Guest Relations; in room safe; air-conditioning; personal bar and 24 hour room service. Around the world, wherever there is a railway station you will find a simple, unpretentious brasserie close by. Terminus is open for breakfast, and throughout the day and evening for a tasty snack or something more substantial.
