This hotel, originally a 17th-century coaching inn, is close to Banbury Cross. Mercure Whately Hall in Banbury. The bedrooms, varying in size and style, are well equipped. Spacious and very comfortable public areas include cosy lounges and an informal bar. Some of the original oak panelling and the black beams are still intact and service is attentive and friendly. Dating back to 1632 with a modern extension to the rear of this elegant hotel is a stone-built former coaching house. Situated by Banbury Cross it`s well placed for visits to Stratford-Upon-Avon, Oxford, Warwick and the Cotswolds.
