In 1897 the Hotel Metropole appears on the list of the hotels recommended by the "Pocket Guide of Venice and it's Interior". Metropole in VENICE. From 1970, the Beggiato family turned the Metropole into a unique hotel in Venice, where the atmosphere based on its history is wisely measured out in a context of research and charm. historic collector pieces grace the 70 individually styled guestrooms (all stocked with modern amenities) and public interiors. At the hotel's dining room - once the site of the Conservatory chapel of the Pietà Church - The buffet breakfast, too, is a sumptuous affair. The Zodiaco Bar stocks a wide range of fine cigars and Afternoon Tea (30 varieties plus homemade pastries) is served daily in the lovely Salone deglie Specchi. Every Thursday guests are invited to the "one night party", with a chance to sample famous dishes prepared by Chef Corrado Fasolato (considered by experts to be among the best of Italian Chefs), to the accompaniment of a sophisticated blend of downtempo, classic chill and lounge, selected by resident DJ Valentino Borgia.
