This 4-star traditional hotel is centrally located very near the square of Santa Croce on the bank of the river Arno within walking distance from all major sights. Plaza Lucchesi (duplex Suite With River View) in Florence. Comfortable and elegant accommodation with style and attentive staff happy to assist with local dining/ sight-seeing arrangements. **LOCATION** The hotel is situated in the city centre just a few steps away from Santa Croce and short walking distance along the river to Uffizi Gallery. Most other sights in the historical centre are within 15 to 20-min walk. The hotel has a unique location on the river offering splendid views of Florence. Central train station S.M. Novella (which has bus connection to the airport) is not withing walking distance (10 mins by taxi or 15min by bus 23 directly). **EXTERIOR** The property is a 4-storey traditional palazzo building from the mid-1800's. **INTERIOR & LOBBY** The lobby area is fairly large, with wood paneling, wrought-iron staircase and decorated in a classical style with beautiful parquet wood floor and frescos on the walls. There is wi-fi internet in public areas or an internet corner with PC in the lounge. **ROOMS** Rooms are medium in size. They are elegantly appointed in light colours with yellow walls, hard-wood floors, glass chandeliers and traditional Neo-Provencal furniture. They are equipped with modern amenities including a flat-screen TV. Front rooms offer splendid views of the river and upper back rooms have great views of Santa Croce and the hills. Back rooms are quieter than rooms at the front. Some rooms are duplex (having bedroom upstairs). **RESTAURANTS & BARS** 'La Serra' restaurant offers traditional Florentine and Tuscan cuisine (12:30 - 14:30 & 19:30 - 22:00; closed Sun). There is a lounge bar 'The Cafe' in the lobby area. Continental hot & cold buffet breakfast is served between 7 and 10.30am in the restaurant.
